CalOptima is a public health plan created by the community, governed by the community, and accountable to the community. The public agency is the second largest health insurer in Orange County, providing coverage to one in eight residents and more than a quarter of our community's children. CalOptima provides health care coverage through three major programs: Medi-Cal, OneCare and Healthy Families Program.

Children & Families Commission of Orange County was established in 1999 by the Orange County Board of Supervisors established the Children and Families Commission. To help Orange County children succeed, the nine commissioners assess and allocate funds to programs that ensure that children are healthy and ready to learn when they enter school. These programs include local community groups and service organizations, social service partners, school districts, faith-based groups, local hospitals and health clinics, family shelters, and minority/ethnic organizations to ensure every child in Orange County grows up great.

County of Orange Health Care Agency performs a variety of public health, medical, behavioral, and regulatory health functions that protect the general public, serve special need populations, assist business and industry and facilitate the work of other government entities and community-based service providers.

Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is a not-for-profit, faith-based hospital whose mission is to provide the highest quality health care services to the community it serves. Hoag consists of two acute-care hospitals, seven health centers and a network for more than 1,300 physicians, 5,000 employees and 2,000 volunteers. Designated as a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Hoag offers a comprehensive mix of health care services, including Centers of Excellence in cancer, heart and vascular, neurosciences, orthopedics and women's health services.

Irvine Health Foundation is a non-profit grant making foundation whose goal is to improve the health - consisting of physical, mental and emotional well-being - of the residents of Orange County, California. The Foundation is focused on promoting health and wellness, insuring the availability of accessible, quality health-related services, working in the area of health policy, and supporting research designed to develop new knowledge in areas related to health. The Foundation celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2010.

Kaiser Permanente is America's leading integrated health plan. Founded in 1945, it is a nonprofit, group practice prepayment program with headquarters in Oakland, California. Kaiser Permanente serves the health care needs of over 8.5 million members in 9 states and the District of Columbia. Today it encompasses the nonprofit Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc., Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and their subsidiaries, and the for-profit Permanente Medical Groups.

The organization is listed among the top 20 percent of health systems nationwide by Thomson Reuters. It has been identified as one of the top integrated systems in America (Verispan Top 100), a leading hospital organization for technology (Most Wired Hospitals), one of the best governed hospital systems in the U.S. (The Governance Institute) and for having the top leadership team in the country (HealthLeaders). In addition, MemorialCare Health System was honored as one of the Top 25 Best Health Systems for Overall Care and Heart Attack, Heart Failure and Surgical Care by Total Benchmark Solution's Annual Competition.

Merage Foundations are a group of three foundations. The Merage Foundation for the American Dream is dedicated to helping immigrants join mainstream America. The Merage Foundation for U.S.–Israel Trade is dedicated to promoting trade as a vehicle to economic growth in Israel through a number of innovative initiatives. CHILDREN FIRST – A Merage Foundation encourages and facilitates the use of the tremendous skills and resources of Orange County’s retired citizens to significantly improve the early childhood development opportunities for children from low-income families.

Orange County Community Foundation encourages, supports and facilitates philanthropy in Orange County. Over the past 20 years, the Orange County Community Foundation has granted more than $155 million to charitable organizations serving local, national and international needs. The focus is on health, educational and social services for youth and families most in need. OCCF provides dedicated leadership, careful stewardship and a commitment to the community by serving as the center for charitable giving in Orange County.

Orange County United Way supports programs for individuals and families to access basic need services for food, shelter and medical care to maximize their ability to live in a healthy environment with impendence and dignity. The organization supports programs for children and youth to ensure that they are ready academically, socially and emotionally for kindergarten and are prepared to graduate from high school and pursue secondary education. And finally, United Way supports programs for individuals to increase their knowledge of financial management and help them pursue education that will allow them to attain marketable skills and achieve employment that provides self-sufficient income.

Pacific Life Foundation recognizes the importance of helping communities address and resolve their problems and has a record of community involvement reflected in an annual $3.6 million charitable giving program as well as in the generous volunteer activity of employees. Pacific Life's charitable giving is distributed primarily through the Pacific Life Foundation. Grants are made to organizations that address a broad spectrum of social problems.

Samueli Foundation strives to create societal value by investing in innovative, entrepreneurial and sustainable ideas that promote scholastic , technical and creative exploration and achievement; build a community of sharing, acceptance and altruism; increase awareness, knowledge and opportunities; and enhance the quality of life of the underserved.

St. Joseph Health System Foundation was established in 1986 to assist people unable to afford health care services by providing grants to non-profit community service organizations. The Foundation translates values into action and strives for excellence while serving people with dignity and working for justice within our communities.

Sisters of St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation is a non-profit, public benefit corporation, which addresses the needs of the working and indigent poor in Southern California, San Francisco Bay Area, Humboldt and Fresno Counties. The Sisters of St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation funds programs which directly serve the needs of the underserved, especially families and children at risk. The Foundation sponsors or supports long-term efforts which bring unity and healing where divisiveness and oppression exist.

The California Endowment is a private, statewide health foundation that was created in 1996 as a result of Blue Cross of California's creation of WellPoint Health Networks, a for-profit corporation. The mission is to expand access to affordable, quality health care for underserved individuals and communities, and to promote fundamental improvements in the health status of all Californians. An important factor in their work is vigorous “grassroots-to-treetops” advocacy and mobilization of community resources.

The Healthcare Foundation for Orange County is committed to bringing health within reach for low-income families in Orange County by supporting efforts to empower parents and caregivers with information, resources and support to insure the health of their children. Formed in 1999, the HealthCare Foundation continues to support coordination and collaboration with other health partners, in order to increase resources applied to priority health areas. The Foundation works with and through qualified nonprofit hospitals to assure that Hospital Legacy grants address priority community health needs of low-income families in Orange County.
